Šiauliai, situated in the northern quarter of Lithuania is the fourth largest city in the country.

Šiauliai runs a rationally organised public transportation system; balanced transport infrastructure network. The City Development Strategy for 2007-2016 included logistics, improved highways, railways and airport as its key transport priorities, in particular to reduce transit traffic inside the city.

To continuing process, Šiauliai prepared their first Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan there big attitude is given for cycling, public transport and walking measures.
