Budaörs is a town in Pest county, in the Budapest metropolitan area. It is the western gate of Budapest. The city can be reached from the capital in a matter of minutes via road and public transport alike, which results in a high level of commuting to and from Budapest. The city's commercial district is adjacent to the joint section of motorways M1 and M7. The town is connected to the motorway at three points.

Buses provide good accessibility to Budapest, although the bus network covers only the residential areas along main roads. The city also has a station at the international railway line no.1.
