Sežana is facing issues involving intensive daily migrations where cars are still the most common means of transportation for people travelling to work.

Public transportation is not frequent enough and the network is very poorly developed, so it is uncompetitive mode of mobility and is not used. Walking is not common since the infrastructure is not attractive for walking. Cycling is not common as mode of transportation since the cycling infrastructure is almost non-existent.
