Slovenske Konjice is well connected to national road infrastructure because the motorway runs directly through it. The municipality has intensive daily migration activity, where cars are still the most common means of transportation for commuters travelling to work.

The reason for it is the dispersed settlement pattern of the municipality that is making other means of transportation less attractive. Another reason for car-centred mobility of the municipality is the development focused on road infrastructure that left other means of mobility neglected.

Public transportation is not frequent enough to be perceived as a desirable option. Pedestrian infrastructure is unconnected and partly very narrow. Although the cycling infrastructure is almost non-existent the number of cyclists is slowly increasing.

Short distances within the municipality are ideal for walking and cycling but to make these modes more attractive the network expansion and adaptation of cycling and pedestrian paths is necessary.
