Covasna is a national interested balneoclimateric resort. Firstly, the city in 1548 was mentioned in written documents. In 1952 it became a city. Furthermore from 1968, the county was named after Covasna city.

The variety of the natural resources, like mineral waters (for external cure: as a part of treatments, such as spa, or for internal cure, such as drinkable fluids), the mofetta (carbon-dioxide eruptions), the wealthness of the negative ionized air, last but not least, the breathtaking scene gives the special magic of the city. Covasna is also known as the “city of 1000 mineral water springs”, because the city services as home for several mineral water springs.
