The Pleven municipality has a well-built transport infrastructure. The main axis of city development are formed on the basis of TEN-T connecting Europe and other transport infrastructure of European meaning. Pleven is in the middle of Corridor No4, Corridor No7 and Corridor No9, as well as the future highway A2 “Hemus” en-route Sofia-Varna. The transport network on the area of the Pleven municipality consists of 33 roads, with an overall length of 313.917km. The density of the traffic network is about the average for the country. Pleven is a modern and smart city, highly competitive, with public transport guaranteeing the safety of the environment and people’s health, ensuring good-quality service, a high level of information, mobility and accessibility, adequate to the needs of the citizens and the business.
