The number of bicycle trips in the peak hours in Haaglanden in the years ahead increases by 1% to 5% due to the rise of the electric bicycle. The number of car trips during peak hours would be affected by 0.5% to 1.5% decrease.

Currently owns approximately 6% of Dutch people aged 15 and older an electric bike and is also about 10 percent of Dutch people interested in an electric bike. 2% to 4% of commuters currently have an electric bike. Among people over 65 has 8 to 25 percent an electric bike.

Op dit moment bezit ongeveer 6% van de Nederlanders van 15 jaar en ouder een elektrische fiets en is daarnaast ongeveer 10 procent van de Nederlanders geïnteresseerd in een elektrische fiets. 2% tot 4% van de forenzen bezitten op dit moment een elektrische fiets. Onder 65+ers bezit 8 tot 25 procent een elektrische fiets.
