Overall Project Description show_help

During the renewal of the Utrecht Central railway station, several measures have been taken to guarantee the quality of multimodal journeys, like:
- realization of 19.450 temporary and new bicycle clips
- dynamic travel information busstation
- improvements of the temporary tram stop
- walking route between temporary tram stop and train station
- staff providing information at the bus station

Description of the system effects show_help

on average 119 less car trips per weekday during the morning and evening rush hour

Lessons Learned show_help

The researchers guess that 100 new bicycle clips result in 1 peak hour avoidance per weekday (morning and evening peak).
For the effect calculation the researchers took into account that some bicycle clips were new, while others were replacing clips that had been removed.

Comment on the targets in level B-D:

A: De maatregelen zijn gerealiseerd, maar van de 19.450 fietsklemmen zijn er eind mei nog maar 6.200 zijn gerealiseerd in mei 2015.
B: 40-60% is bekend met de nieuwe stallingen, vooral met de stalling Jaarbeursplein
20-50% kent de maatregelen om de OV-kwaliteit te verbeteren
D: 36% is tevreden met de informatie over de nieuwe fietsenstallingen
