Dear Reader!

this is a reminder that the ECOMM 2017 Call for Presentations is open until 16 December this year.

You can find all useful information on the ECOMM 2017 website. Submission is electronic via the submission site. Detailed information on the Call for Presentations is available on those sites or directly here.

Maastricht is the oldest city in the Netherlands and has a population of 125,000. It is located at the crossroads between Dutch, Belgian, French and German cultures and trade and has a history stretching back some 2,000 years. The Romans, Spaniards, French and Germans have all left their mark in Maastricht. Maastricht aims to increase its already high share of cycling and is busy establishing better public transport connections with its surroundings - in particular a high-speed-tram connection to the neighbouring Belgian city of Hasselt.

The main theme of ECOMM 2017 is ‘Teaming-up for liveable cities’. The ECOMM conference wants to explore how a continious improvement in the quality of life and health in cities can be realised by working together (public-private and cross-border), combating climate change, creating integral solutions and customising mobility services.

The organisers of Maastrichts' ECOMM have selected a fitting set of the following topics, all related to the main theme of creating liveable cities together:

  1. What makes a city liveable?
  2. Cross-border traveling
  3. Behavioural insights: how rational are we?
  4. Smart collaboration - finding common interests
  5. Quo vadis MaaS? Towards a smart mix of collective and individual services
  6. Future mobility lab

We are looking forward to your presentations for the ECOMM 2017 and your inspiring visions and practical solutions. The ECOMM is the main meeting place for policymakers, traffic engineers, scientists, suppliers and consultants in the field of mobility management in Europe. The three-day event consists of various excursions, a daily plenary programme with inspiring speakers, ca. 60 presentations, debates and brainstorming sessions, a trade show and plenty of opportunities for networking. ECOMM takes place every year and attracts 350-500 delegates and exhibitors.

We wish you all the best and we look forward to your contributions and your presence in the lively city of Maastricht for the 21st ECOMM on 31 May - 2 June 2017.

Best regards,

the ECOMM 2017 organisation team.
