complement each other to provide optimum services

Mobility Management is put into practice by various instruments, which complement each other in order to provide optimum MM services.

These are basically the following: Mobility Centres, Mobility Office, Mobility Plan, Mobility Manager, Mobility Consultation, Mobility Coordination.

For the implementation and the execution of MM and for further conceptual work, staff and institutions are needed, e.g. to carry out services in direct user contact via all modes of communication. MM holds qualified experts, but also co-operates with the personnel of the respective organisation, which can be trained as part of the Mobility Management. The number of staff will depend on the tasks and the size of the scheme, ranging from one to a few in the beginning up to dozens in a fully developed urban Mobility Centre. Whatever the exact framework, the personnel at the front desks needs to possess good customer-oriented social and communication skills.
