Information and advice are the core services of MM, because information is the prerequisite for people to use other modes of transport than just the car. It is a matter of course: If you do not know, that a service exists, you are not very likely to use it.

Advice - in addition to information - is characterised by further customer interaction. It is based on thorough processing and interpretation of existing information. It provides tailor-made answers to specific transport questions for individuals, companies, administrations, schools etc.

Examples:
  • bicycle map
  • maps for freight transport
  • accessibility guide for schools, companies, etc.
  • door-to-door public transport information

An important aspect of information and advice is their comprehensibility and user friendliness. Mere availability of information does not serve anybody, if the information itself cannot be understood: guide maps for public transport are often bad examples. An appealing design attracts more people and values them as customers.
