The Lundby District in Göteborg is an inner city shipyard
area suffering from decline in traditional industries and
now under strong redevelopment into a combined housing, education
and business area. The Lundby Vision project was set up to
develop and test efficient and environmentally adapted solutions
for transportation of people and goods within a limited, future
oriented and extensive area. The idea is to use Lundby as
a test-bed for future full-scale introduction of sustainable
transport solutions in Göteborg. In November 2002 the Lundby
Mobility Centre opened and has now seven employees working
towards individuals and workplaces in the district.
