09:00 Commuter planning
Groruddalen is a part of Oslo where accessibility by car is high. A lot of companies (freight transportation, shopping centres) are situated here, and the number of working places (offices) is expected to rise. The area is suffering from environmental problems (traffic, air pollution). In 2002 a pilot project has been started which aims to combine physical measures and Mobility Management. The plan is to enhance accessibility for pedestrians, cyclists, and public transport and offer mobility-counselling to companies.
10:00 Guided tour to Fornebu, visit of Telenor AS
Telenor AS is a company which has moved to a new site recently (ca. 7.500 employees). The company has focused on "personal logistics" of its employees. Measures for environmental-friendly transport can be displayed.
12:00 Back at Central station (Oslo S).
