Austria has been an active EPOMM Member ever since 2008 and currently holds the presidency. With its national MM programme klimaaktiv mobil Austria is a forerunner in sustainable transport and actively takes part in the vivid know-how transfer hub EPOMM. Experience and best practice from European countries, cities and experts form the base of taking Europe a big step further towards a green transport system, making optimized use of existing infrastructure and integrating new (disruptive) technologies such as digitalization and electrification into the transport system. EPOMM supports Member States for the development of national mobility management strategies as well as facilitating the development of sustainable regional and urban plans for mobility management. EPOMM advocates on EU level to integrate mobility management into current and future European mobility programmes, funding and financing instruments. EPOMM is a strong voice to promote mobility management on European level.
